Funking up your Formal wear
This article is all about exactly what the title suggests, funking up your formal wear. Having a part time job along side uni I love experimenting with my formal outfits. Finishing touches and statement pieces I feel can really complete any kind of outfit, but when putting together a formal outfit, we usually tend to leave them behind. However, hopefully from the photos you’re opening up to the idea.
I also think in terms of shopping for formal wear, there’s not much you need to buy specifically for the office, unless you wear a suit everyday. I often implement my casual clothes and make them look formal by adding a few finishing touches. Take my floral trousers for example, or my red bodycon, in fact, nearly all the items in these photos I can wear casually and not have to spend excess money on having a work clothes and casual clothes section to my wardrobe.

So, I guess the main message here is that you don’t have to buy a whole sections worth of clothes to dedicate to your formal wear and another for casual wear, you can save money by intertwining the two and not giving yourself boundaries with what you can and can not wear to work. And if you’re ever unsure, you can never go wrong with casual dress with a blazer or, if you’re not the dress type, a blouse and tapered trousers.
