Me and My Blog, The Secret Truth:
You know that feeling when you wake up in the morning and stare at your wardrobe for what seems like hours and still undecided on what to wear. Well, that was me, everyday, same routine, a full wardrobe but nothing to wear…
It was forever my endless excuse to pull out my shiny piece of plastic and hit the shops so that I could keep looking “stylish”.
Until one day, reality had hit hard, I found myself so deep in my overdraft and all in the name of fashion. But why did I continue to buy when I had clothes falling out of my wardrobe? Before any upcoming event my first thought would be where shall I buy my outfit from? Because like many of us, I was under the misconception that style was all about spending. In order to look good I had to buy a new outfit for every occasion. Well I’m here to tell you the truth; style narrows down to two words… confidence and coordination. The simple task of taking something old and making it look new! And it really is that simple once you know how.
So, I spent the entire day going through my wardrobe, coordinating outfits and introducing myself to the “many ways to wear ,” the same item of clothing and constructing completely different looks. I was so frustrated at myself for getting so deep in debt when all along I had some gorgeous outfits all staring back at me every morning!
My experience was just one of the many reasons I decided to start a blog, that and my complete obsession with fashion. So, for the sake of unity in the world of sisterhood, I wanted to spare you guys the time and effort in the hope that I inspire you with my articles, and show you that whether you’re just getting ready for a standard day at work, out for cocktails with the girls, or just down right casual day attire, you don’t need to buy a whole new outfit to look good!
One of the many articles I will be creating is all about “many ways to wear…” in each of these outfits, one item will always stay the same but worn differently to match the occasion and still give you the satisfaction of feeling like you’re wearing something new.
So there you have it, a little about my personal trauma and one of the many reasons I started the blog. I really hope you enjoy the articles to come and hope that I am able to connect with you on a “fashionate” level. Essentially my readers are the heart and soul of every article, so please leave your comments and I look forward to reading them.
