Today I went for an interview, I won’t say where, just in case I don’t get it and because I’m still really unsure as to whether or not I got the job, but all will be revealed in due course. I think I’m just one of those people that can never walk out of an interview or an exam and know how I’ve done.
For my interview outfit I wanted to wear something that really reflected my personality- quirky meets slightly grunge. For interviews especially, what you wear is vital! The minute you walk up to your interviewer they immediately make their first impression from how you’re dressed which is why it was so important for me to get my outfit spot on. I decided not to play it safe with my outfit, I didn’t want to wear something plain because I like to think I’m not a very plain person.
I should probably mention my new boots! I was searching for buckled ankle boots for ages and every time I saw a pair I questioned whether or not they were the perfect pair. I’ve found that now I’m doing the 5 items a month challenge I always think twice before I buy. But I finally found a pair that were screaming my name! I ignored them when I first saw them in Office and thought I’d get over them. But I left with a head full of regret and couldn’t stop thinking about the boots all evening so I went back the next day and bought them. Naughty of me I know, but it’s only one of my 5 items, I still have 4 left.
And there you have my interview outfit, a dogtooth print dress, grunge buckled ankle boots and bright blazer that together all reflected my personality. I will keep you all posted on how the interview went and if I was successful or not. For now I’ll stay hopeful.
Just to finish off the article, I want to apologise for neglecting the blog recently as I have been really busy and had so much to sort out, but I will be back on the blogging and hopefully will be able to get into a consistent routine soon. Thank you to everyone that took part in the giveaway and to those of you that have consistently been reading the articles.
Lots of love…
And remember ladies, “the best thing a woman can wear is confidence.”
