Once upon a time I was only confident about my footwear if I was wearing a lush pair of heels. I was so ignorant to the world of kicks! I invested in a pair of high tops not so long ago and I’ve haven’t regretted it since. Personally, I think casual trainers are great value for money.  Although you may look at the price tag originally and question whether this is going to be money well spent I’m here to assure you it is. I have matched them up with so many outfit styles and I can walk for miles never getting that feeling of just wanting to run home and kick off them off my feet.

I included my niece in one of the photos as she was adamant to join in after we spent the day together in the garden and then to the park. My outfit was perfect for just a casual day around the town with lots of walking and was able to feel confident about myself in an outfit that was quite minimalist. My jacket has quite a hipster feel about it, especially in this particular outfit and the use of my backpack was ideal for carrying Sara’s (my niece) snacks and essentials like my purse for when she begs me for an ice-cream.

By adding the accessories to my outfit,  this added a bit of glam to my casual look, and (me previously having been the biggest victim of this) I often find that we shy away from doing this in fear of being over the top on a “normal” day. Little compliments like earrings and accessories complete an outfit, embrace them.

So that was my outfit of the day, a casual day outfit with a hint of glam, I hope you liked my “ootd” article and with my readers being at the heart of every article your opinions are essential, so please leave some comments below and let me know what you think.

Lots of love,

How great is Primark’s new silver/teal blue aztec style jewellery?? I got a gorgeous necklace in that same style for £3! Same kind of quality of design I’d expect of Topshop but a fraction of the price. Here it is:

The high tops look so cool and comfortable, perfect! And I love that we’ve seen the jeans in a couple of the posts now just proving that one item really can be worn different ways to create completely different styles. Your blog is really starting to take shape and I can’t wait to see more OOTD’s :) xx
