The City life, Part 1:
Leather Jacket- Primark
Floral Crown- Etsy, Vintage Divinities
A few weekends ago, me and my sister went for a little weekend away in London. Yes, me, the northern lass, ventured to the big city to get a taste of big city life. Obviously, a very new experience for me, coming from such a small town. Anyway, I had the days to myself while she was on a course and as she passed so, she is now a qualified personal trainer.
I love having time to myself, and it’s great for blogging too. Means I can have time to plan upcoming articles, as well, examine changes I can make to my previous shopaholic lifestyle to help save money, still looking and feeling good about what I’m wearing, but most importantly sharing the ideas with you guys. So hopefully, I will updating the blog soon with new ideas I have brainstormed over the weekend. And revealing some of the exciting things I have planned for the blog after I finish my exams in August. But I’ll save that for later.
Speaking of exams, I just want to quickly mention the frequency of my posts, after my exams I will be improving this. I don’t want you to think that this is what you can expect from me all year round. Obviously, when it comes to exam time I have to prioritise, but, surely its good that I am still managing to post twice a week, no?
Back to my outfit of the day, I had again arranged to meet some friends for a casual late afternoon drinks and catch up in the sun. The beautiful weather meant we could sip our cold drinks outdoors for the first time in a while. I wore something a bit dressy uppy and casual at the same time. You may recognise this dress, yes, it’s the one from my formal article, see here, which I have worn again but for a totally different occasion with a totally different look. Doing this is one of the biggest ways we can save money on clothes as I explained my struggle in my first post, see here.
My floral crown. I had been looking for one of these for ages now, but none were within my price range. After many attempts to find one, I finally found one browsing on Etsy by a company called vintage divinities and it was around £7. Compared to almost all the other places I had been searching for, this one was half the average price. If you’re looking at the crown and thinking I would never be able to rock one of these, then think again. If you’re a first timer then I suggest starting off with a smaller floral crown and once you’re used to the idea of wearing flowers in your hair then you can slowly get bigger. But, personally I think floral crowns are great for summer, they really add that finishing statement to an outfit, especially if you’re not in a rummaging mood. You can just pull out something plain and style it up with a final touch like a floral crown. This is exactly what I did with my bodycon red dress which alone is very plain.
So that was my outfit of the day, I hope you guys liked the article and as I always say, please please leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments below. I love reading them, and feedback from you guys means I know what to do in order to cater to you, my readers, specifically. Thank you.
Lots of love…
